Volunteering at the 2005 NewSong Festival.
How to do it.

It is that time of year again as the Mountain Stage NewSong Festival rapidly approaches Aug. 24 to 28. We are putting together a team of fun, hardworking volunteers who will help pull off one of finest music events in America. We need great volunteers! If you are a singer-songwriter, this is also an excellent opportunity to hang out with other players, join in the jams and enjoy the vibe around hip and historic Shepherdstown, W.Va. If you're not a player, but just love festivals or love to help, we'd love to have you come and enjoy yourself while helping to make NewSong work.

In exchange for a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer work, you'll receive:

• A NewSong Festival Pass, good for admission to all festival concerts and showcases (except for the separately ticketed, festival-closing Mountain Stage NewSong Show Sunday, Aug. 28)
• One 2005 Mountain Stage NewSong Festival t-shirt
• Free camping at the NewSong Campground at Morgan's Grove near downtown Shepherdstown.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• If you do not wish to camp, you can make separate lodging arrangements by checking out the 'CAMPING/LODGING' page
• Registration for the live round of the NewSong Contest requires an additional, non-refundable $20.00 fee. To reserve your space, email us at contest@newsongfestival.com with the subject line 'Volunteer Live Round Contest Registration' then mail a check made payable to 'NewSong' to this address:

• There are a number of great dining options in Shepherdstown, with variety to suit every taste and meet every budget. From the Farmer's Breakfast at Betty's Diner (one of our favorites, and just a few doors down from NewSong headquarters) to fine dining at the Yellow Brick Bank, you won't leave hungry.
• We love pets. We have pets. But no pets are allowed. Sorry.
• If you do not show up for your volunteer duty, you will not be eligible for any volunteer duties at any future NewSong event.
