The Live Round @ NewSong

In addition to submitting to the general and regional rounds, there are also a limited number of spots available to compete in the live round of the Mountain Stage NewSong Contest.

The live round takes place during the day on Saturday, August 26 in Shepherdstown, WV, as part of the NewSong weekend there. The first round of the contest begins in the morning, and the winners of each of the live rounds will advance to the live round semi-finals later that afternoon.

Two live round contestants from the semi-final round will be selected to advance to the NewSong Contest Finals, held that same evening in Shepherdstown, where they will join the other finalists chosen in advance from the general and regional rounds.

Live round spots are filled on a first-come, first- serve basis until all spots are full. As the live round is intended for the community of artists that come to NewSong, all live round contestants are required to purchase a NewSong pass, which includes free camping at Morgan's Grove Park, and admission to the all weekend performances.
